John Murray was doing "2900 rpm in 6th" in his Ferrari Maranello on the 405 while Gérard Ismaël was charming Jan Bursey's friend Ellie Vera. After my son Sean showed Gérard a photo of a Thomassima on his iPhone, Gérard promptly put in an order for three Thomassima IIs and went back to keeping Ellie entertained. After I repeated Danny Hutton's (Three Dog Night) story about doing a concert with Little Richard, Jan and I traded anecdotes that revealed two degrees of separation where we crossed paths with Dorothy Provine, the Peyton Place set, Guy Madison, Nicky Blair, Gene Shacove, Jerry Moss--Mrs. Moss in my case--and Jayne Mansfield and a few others I've forgotten. Todd Varble took Sean on a guided tour of his 620 horsepower Chevy while Wesley Harris listened to Tom Meade describe the Sultan of Brunei's gold plated Ferrari F40. Robin Mizrahi told of being a model in Paris and her encounter with Jean-Bédel Bokassa about whom she has written a screenplay. My daughter Morgan showed up with Kevin Tighe and took pictures of everyone and everything while Wesley and Kevin talked about Kevin's Build-a-Bar Facebook app. John Atkinson tallied his stock picks, which have accrued a 300+% gain in the last six months. Lili was very well behaved.
