Last night I attended a gathering linked to the American Film Market at the Saluté wine bar in Venice. It was hosted by my friend Roy M Martens (who created The Film Portal), Mac Africa and Tifanie Jodeh, Esq. Some excellent jazz was perfomed by Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. John Altman played a wicked saxophone and Lizann Warner made a memorable appearance as one of the guest singers.
Roy attends our Elysée Wednesday gatherings when he is in town and we make a habit of spending time together at Cannes during the festival there. With his Film Portal social network, he provides news, tips, information and--perhaps most importantly--connections aimed at enhancing one's film market and festival experience whether it be Cannes, AFM, Toronto, Venice or Berlin.
Thanks to Roy for a delightful evening!
