Las Carreras Mexicanas

Last night I attended a gathering of those who celebrate and take part in the Mexican road races each year known as La Carrera Panamericana. It is the modern reincarnation of the original Carrera Panamericana, the subject of our documentary.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner catered by the Baja Cantina, saw some Carrera race cars and spoke with their owners. We donated a DVD and poster of our documentary to support their fund raiser and had the pleasure of finally meeting Gerie Bledsoe and Gary Faules with whom I'd been corresponding for so long and to see my friend Tomás López Rocha once again.
